[Testing] IVI prints with wax filament

Dear IVIers, 

As planned, we tested wax filament last week. 

The material used is not actually pure wax but it does have physical properties that are similar to wax. According to the filament supplier, it is environmental friendly and you can use it for casting. The burnout is very clean. 

We have sent the model for casting in a factory and we will share the casted model next week. 

Below are the printing parameters for this test.  

Nozzle diameter: 0.3 mm

Printing temperature: 180℃

Layer height: 0.15 mm

Printing speed: 30 mm/s

Wall thickness: 0.9 mm

Retraction speed: 60 mm/s

Retraction distance: 6.5 mm

Infill distance: 1 mm

Cooling system: ON

L*W*H of the model: 118.8 x 69 x 84.3 mm

Printing time: about 12 hours 45 minutes

[Testing] IVI CNC Carving Wood

Dear IVIers, 

As mentioned in our last update, we tested IVI CNC carving 2.5D models. 

Below are the settings of this test. 

Material: Wood

Diameter: 78.5 mm

Height: 9.5 mm

Carving depth: 4 mm

Rough carving part #1

Bits: 2mm end mill

Time: 2.5 hours

Rough carving part #2

Bits: 2mm end mill

Time: 1.5 hours

Fine carving

Bits: 0.3mm 30°Engraving bits

Time: 4 hours
